Students are placed in achievement groups based on evaluations and observations by classroom teachers.
Test scores such as Terra Nova, STAR Reading & Math Computerized Assessments and Unit Tests are used for consideration in the placement of students.
At the 1st grade level, a placement test is given within the first week of school. This test is conducted to facilitate placement of the students within an achievement group.
Students are re-evaluated at 9 week intervals or earlier if needed, for any changes needed in achievement grouping placement.
