The mission of the Marcellus Elementary Library/Media Center is to promote affective uses of ideas and information.
The General library collection contains upwards of 10,000 books. Accelerated Reading programs collection contains 5,000 books.
Rules:
· Come to the library with a purpose and be prepared to work.
· Enter quietly and quickly, walk, do not run.
· No food, gum, candy, or drinks of any kind are allowed.
· Stand in line and wait to exchange book cards. Nothing else should be brought to the library unless directed by your teacher.
· Listen carefully and follow directions.
· If you have questions, please raise your hand and wait to be called on
· Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
· No tipping in chairs, sitting on or crawling under tables.
· No more than four people may sit around one table.
· No games of any kind are allowed.
· Avoid rough play or fighting.
· Be safe in your actions.
· Respect others totally
· Speak quietly and use appropriate language
· Students should never argue with those in authority.
