The Marcellus Community School District is located in Southwest Michigan in Cass County. Portions of the district can also be found in Van Buren and St. Joseph counties. It is a rural school district that sports 36 lakes, Peacock Ridge Golf Course, Swiss Valley Ski Resort, Rolling Hills Shooting Preserve and a variety of religious and recreational camps. The community of Marcellus has very active Little League softball and baseball, soccer, 4-H, rocket football and girls and boys scouting programs. The school district offers a popular Curious Kids program in the summer, a Jump Start Elementary School Program, an extended middle school program and the Beyond the Bell After School Program for both elementary and middle school students. Marcellus is primarily an agricultural community as well as a bedroom community for residents who work in either Kalamazoo or Indiana. Marcellus is country living at its best. Students are embraced in a community that supports its young people.
